- 4 egg yolks and 1 egg white
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. confectioners sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. rum extract
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- oil for deep frying
Directions

1Add salt to eggs and beat.

2Add sugar, vanilla and rum extract; beat until well blended.

3Stir in flour, a little at a time, until dough can be kneaded.

4On a well floured board, knead until the dough blisters.

5Cut in half.

6Roll very thin and cut into strips, about 4-inches long.

7Slit each piece in center and pull one end through slit, making sure knot is in the center.

8Fry in hot oil until lightly browned.

9Drain on paper towel.

10Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
