- 5 eggs
- 1 c. Crisco
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. coconut
- 2 c. chopped nuts
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 1 stick butter
- 1 box powdered sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Separate eggs and beat egg whites until stiff.

2Cream Crisco and sugar; add egg yolks and beat well.

3Combine flour, soda and salt in separate bowl.

4Alternate, adding flour mixture and buttermilk to sugar and eggs; mix well.

5Add 1 teaspoon vanilla, 2 cups coconut and 1 cup nuts.

6Add eggs whites and mix well.

7Bake in three 8-inch pans at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
