  • 1 c. yellow cornmeal
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • dash of garlic salt
  • dash of onion salt
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 well beaten eggs
  • 1/2 c. cooking oil
  • 1 c. cream-style corn
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1/2 mild jalapeno peppers, chopped
  • 1 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese

Directions

    Mix all ingredients well except pepper and cheese.

    Pour half the batter into greased, heated 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Spread the jalapeno peppers and cheese over batter.

    Pour remaining batter. Bake in 350° oven for 1 hour.
