- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 Tbsp. baking soda
- 1 pt. jam (any flavor)
- 3 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1 Tbsp. allspice
- 1 Tbsp. cloves
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
Directions

1Mix dry ingredients and wet ingredients separately.

2Add together.

3Beat at low speed. Cook at 300° for about 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done.

4Let set in covered dish for two days.

5Jam will soak into cake.

6Slice and eat.
