- 4 egg yolks
- 1 c. pecans
- 1 tsp. soda
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 tsp. allspice
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. blackberry jam or seedless preserves
- 1 c. crushed pineapple, drained
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 2 tsp. nutmeg
- 4 egg whites, beaten
Directions

1In large mixing bowl cream butter and sugar.

2Add egg yolks, jam and pineapple.

3Blend until smooth.

4Add alternately dry ingredients and buttermilk.

5Fold in nuts, then egg whites.

6Bake in 3 greased and floured round cake pans at 350° for 45 minutes.
