  • 1 cup flour
  • 12 cup margarine or 12 cup butter, softened
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 4 -5 tablespoons water
  • jam

Directions

    Combine flour and salt.

    Add in margarine(or butter) and cut mixture with a pastry cutter until in small pea size peices.

    Stir in water until dough can be formed by kneeding.

    Roll out on a floured surface until 1/5 inch thick.

    Cut dough into large circles and place in greased cupcake pans; lightly press with finger to make slight depression.

    Spoon jam into each tart until about 2/3 full.

    Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes or until edges of crust are slightly golden brown.

    Let tarts cool in pan for a minute.

    Remove tarts and place them on a cooling rack .

    Wait for tarts to cool completely.
