- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. soft cream cheese
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- dash of salt
- raspberry or apricot preserves
- chopped nuts (optional)
Directions

1In mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and butter, beating until well blended.

2Stir in flour and salt, mixing well.

3Form into a ball.

4Cover and chill for 30 minutes.

5Using about 1 tablespoon dough, press into a 2 1/2-inch tart pan.

6Keep dough as even in thickness as possible.

7Trim or shape top evenly.

8Repeat with remaining dough.

9Spoon about 1 tablespoon preserves into each tart shell.

10Sprinkle with nuts.

11Bake at 400° for 12 to 15 minutes until golden crust.
