- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg, separated
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Lightly grease a jelly roll pan, 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch.

3Mix butter, sugar and egg yolk.

4Blend flour and cinnamon.

5Stir into butter mixture.

6Pat into pan.

7Beat water and egg white until frothy; brush over dough and sprinkle with nuts. Bake 20 to 25 minutes until lightly browned.

8Cut immediately into finger-like strips.

9Makes 50 (3 x 1-inch) strips.
