- 1 Cup Self Rising Cornmeal
- 1 Large Egg
- 3/4 cup Milk or buttermilk
- 1 cup Sugar
- 2 Tablespoon oil
- 2 cups cornmeal
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk or buttermilk
- 3-4 tablespoons oil
Directions

1Pour oil in an 8 inch iron skillet and place in oven at 400 degrees until oil sizzles.

2Mix cornmeal, egg, milk and sugar in bowl.

3Pour hot oil over cornmeal mixture, stirring lightly and return to skillet.

4Bake in 400 degrees oven until golden brown.
