- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 3 c. sifted cake flour
- 1/4 tsp. lemon extract
Directions

1Cream butter.

2Add sugar and beat until fluffy.

3Add eggs, one at a time, and beat 1 minute after each egg.

4Add flavoring.

5Add milk and flour and baking powder.

6Beat.

7Divide batter in half. Bake in 2 pans.

8Add raisins and spices to other batter and bake in 2 pans.

9Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in 350° oven.
