  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. red food coloring
  • 1/2 tsp. oil flavoring (cinnamon)

Directions

    Mix sugar, Karo and water in saucepan.

    Bring to boil; cook until it comes to 325° (hard crack) on candy thermometer.

    Remove from heat; add coloring and flavoring.

    Mix well without scraping sides of pan.
  5. 5
    Pour onto a greased cookie sheet.
  6. 6
    Let harden enough to cut with scissors (approximately 3 minutes).
