  • 1/4 c. white beans
  • 1/4 c. kidney beans
  • 1/4 c. split peas
  • 1/4 c. pinto beans
  • 2 Tbsp. barley
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley
  • 2 Tbsp. dried onions
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 Tbsp. powdered beef broth

    Wash beans and soak overnight.

    Drain and top with 6 cups of water.

    Simmer until done.

    Add 1 can of tomato soup.

    Also add 1 pound cooked ground beef.

    Simmer a few more minutes.

    Do not add salt of any kind until the last 5 minutes as this toughens the beans and the cooking time will take twice as long.
