- 10 lb. meat (round steak, deer meat, any lean meat)
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 1/4 c. honey
- 2 Tbsp. black pepper
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 1/4 c. Worcestershire
- 1/4 c. red vinegar wine
- 2 Tbsp. garlic powder
Directions

1Cut meat into 1/4 x 1/2-inch strips; soak strips in jerky cure for 3 days (mixing often).

2Take out of cure and wash off; soak meat in mixture for 3 or 4 days, mixing often.

3Take out of mixture and place on racks.

4Pepper to taste (red or black). Smoke in smoker at 145° for 10 hours.

5Jerky cure can be purchased from your local meat market.
