Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 1/4 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. marjoram
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
  • 1 (4 oz.) or more jar sliced mushrooms
  • 1 small can water chestnuts, sliced
  • thin slices processed cheese (I use Velveeta)
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. medium noodles

Directions

    Put a tablespoon or so of oil (can be olive oil) or drippings in heavy skillet.

    Heat and then add ground beef; cook until lightly browned.

    Add onion, green pepper and seasonings and continue cooking until vegetables are tender.

    Add soup and tomatoes; simmer for 15 or 20 minutes.

    Add water chestnuts. Check seasonings.

    You may prefer to add a little more garlic powder, pepper, etc.
