Ingredients

  • 2 lb. hamburger
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4 to 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped (optional)
  • 2 cans kidney beans, drained
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 can Ro-Tel tomatoes with chili peppers
  • 1 large can tomato sauce
  • 1 can water
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 to 2 tsp. cumin
  • 3 Tbsp. olive oil

    Saute onion, garlic and pepper in olive oil until clear.

    Add hamburger and brown.

    Drain off fat and then add all other ingredients.

    Simmer for 2 to 3 hours.
