  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 3/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soda

Directions

    In bowl, mix well the sour cream, brown sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla.

    Add flour, salt and soda.

    Mix well, then add nuts (about 1 cup chopped pecans).

    Drop 1 teaspoonful per cookie on cookie sheet.

    Bake in 350° oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
