- 4 cups flour
- 12 teaspoon baking powder (heaped)
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 12 teaspoon ajwain
- 1 teaspoon black pepper, crushed
- 12 cup yellow moong dal
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 14-12 teaspoon salt
- oil (for frying)
Directions

1Mix ingredients for dough and knead till soft.

2To prepare the filling - boil the daal with all the spices listed till it is soft but not mushy.

3Drain and let it dry.

4Moisten palms with a little oil, take a tbsp of dough which you form into balls and flatten into small circles with your hands.

5Place the daal filling in the middle of the circle, bring sides together and pinch to close.

6Flatten the ball again.

7Repeat with the remaining dough.

8Deep fry.

9Serve.
