- 1 tsp. olive oil
- 1/2 large onion, chopped
- 1 or 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 c. navy beans
- smoked kielbasi, sliced
- 4 to 6 c. chicken stock
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
- fresh kale greens
- 2 to 4 potatoes, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Soak beans in water 4 to 6 hours or overnight.

2In large pot, add olive oil, onions, sliced kielbasi and garlic.

3Saute; do not brown.

4Add chicken stock and navy beans; let cook 15 minutes. Add kale, crushed red pepper and sugar.

5Let cook 20 minutes.

6Add potatoes.

7Stir well.

8Let cook 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
