- 3 eggs
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 Tbsp. buttermilk
- 1 c. white Karo syrup
- pinch of salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. pecans, finely chopped
Directions

1Beat eggs until frothy; add flour to sugar, then add to egg mixture. Add buttermilk, syrup, salt and vanilla. Cut butter into small pieces and add to mixture; beat well. (A wire egg beater is better than an electric mixer.) Stir in pecans and pour into unbaked pastry shell. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until top is slightly brown. Reduce oven temperature to 250° and bake 45 minutes or until set.
