- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream sugar and shortening with vanilla.

2Add syrup and eggs. Continue beating.

3Fold in half of flour, baking powder and half of milk.

4Add remaining flour and milk.

5Pour into two 8-inch cake pans.

6Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.

7Cool.

8Frost with Karo frosting.
