- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 c. butter (approximately 1 lb.)
- 3 c. white flour, sifted
- 1 c. cornstarch
- pinch of salt
Directions

1Cream together sugar and butter.

2Sift the flour into separate bowl; stir in (with fork) the cornstarch and salt.

3Mix dry ingredients into creamed mixture, about 1 cup dry at a time, until smooth.

4Roll into ball, then either roll out, cut with cookie cutter or pat into pan.

5Pierce top well with fork.

6Bake at 325° for 20 to 25 minutes.

7Do not brown.
