- 2 c. flour
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- butter
Directions

1Mix flour, eggs and salt together.

2Gradually add water until you have a soft, but not sticky, dough.

3Knead it until it blisters.

4Roll to 1/4-inch thickness.

5Cut with glass into circles.

6Place teaspoonful of filling on circles.

7(Before placing filling on dough, take a salt shaker and shake salt all over dough lightly; this helps when pinching pirogi to seal.)

8Pinch edges to keep filling from escaping.

9Drop into boiling salted water until pirogi rise to the top or about 8 to 10 minutes.

10Drain.

11Melt butter and brown.

12(We also add chopped onions in this butter.) Pour over pirogi and toss to mix.
