Ingredients

  • 5 qt. tomato juice
  • 1 1/2 pt. vinegar
  • 4 large onions, put through blender
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. pickling spice in a bag
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. red pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. dry mustard

Directions

    Drain water off tomato juice after setting for 2 hours, then put juice through blender.

    Mix all with a little cold water and add to juice.

    Boil for 3 to 3 1/2 hours, then thicken with Clear Jell; bottle and seal.
