  • 6 eggs
  • 1 (14 oz.) condensed milk
  • 1/3 c. Key lime juice
  • premade baked 9-inch graham cracker pie crust
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 fresh lime

Directions

    Beat the yolks of 4 eggs and the white of 1 egg until thick. Add condensed milk and beat again.

    Add lime juice and beat until thick.

    In a separate bowl, beat 3 egg whites until dry and fold in the lime, milk and egg mixture.

    Pour into a baked pie crust. Separate 2 eggs.

    Beat the whites with the sugar until stiff peaks form.

    Spread evenly on top of pie.

    Bake in 350° oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until meringue is brown, then garnish with thinly sliced limes.

    (Do not overbeat egg whites.

    Do not use a food processor; use a mixer instead.)
