- 4 egg yolks
- 6 egg whites
- 1 can sweetened, condensed milk
- 1/2 c. lime juice
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
Directions

1Beat egg yolks until lemon colored.

2Blend in condensed milk slowly.

3Add cream of tartar to egg whites and beat until foamy. Continue beating, adding sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, until egg whites peak.

4Fold 6 tablespoons of the meringue into the filling mixture.

5Pour into a 9-inch baked pie shell.

6Top with meringue and bake in a slow oven (330°) until golden brown.
