- 4 egg yolks
- 6 egg whites
- 1/2 c. lime juice
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- pinch of salt
- 1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
Directions

1Beat the egg yolks until lemon colored.

2Blend in the condensed milk and slowly add lime juice and salt; mix well.

3Add the cream of tartar to the egg whites and beat until foamy. Continue beating, adding sugar, one tablespoon at a time, until peaks form.

4Fold 6 tablespoons of the meringue into the filling mixture and pour into a baked pie shell.

5Top with the remaining meringue, sealing the edges carefully.

6Bake at 330° until golden brown.
