- 1 c. rice
- 1 bell pepper, cut into strips
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/2 can tomato sauce
- 1 Tbsp. garlic salt or powder
- 1/2 c. oil
Directions

1Rinse rice with cold water until water is clear; drain well, then let set until rice is completely dry.

2Heat oil in large skillet.

3Add rice and spread evenly.

4When rice is brown, sprinkle garlic salt over it.

5Add tomato sauce, bell pepper, onion and just enough boiling water to cover rice (approximately 1-inch).

6Cover and let simmer for 10 minutes.

7Remove cover and stir.

8Replace lid and continue cooking for another 10 minutes. Serves 6.
