Kielbasa Lasagna

Ingredients
- 1 lb. mozzarella cheese (grated)
- 10 oz. box of uncooked lasagna noodles
- 1 clove garlic
- 1-1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tbsp. whole basil
- 1 smoked beef kielbasa ring, in 1/4 inch slices
- 1 can (1 lb.) skinned and cooked tomatoes
- 2 cups skinned and cooked tomatoes
- 2 cans (6 oz. each) tomato paste
- 3 cups cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan
- 2 tbsp. parsley flakes
- 2 beaten eggs
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Brown meat.

2Add the rest of the sauce ingredients.

3Simmer uncovered for 30 minutes.

4Stir occasionally.

5Cook noodles just short of al dente; drain and rinse.

6Set aside.

7Combine all ingredients for cheese mix.

8Place half of the cooked noodles in a 9x13 pan.

9Spread with half of the cheese mix.

10(I've found that using your bare hands for spreading the cheese mix works very well.)

11Sprinkle half of the grated mozzarella over the cheese mix.

12Then pour on half of the meat sauce.

13Repeat layers.

14Bake at 375F for 30 minutes or until heated through.

15Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.

16If you make this ahead, bake it for 45-60 minutes.
