Ingredients

  • 3 qts water
  • 1-1/2 lbs beef kielbasa, cut in 1/4 inch slices
  • 3 stalks celery, cut in small pieces
  • 3 med onions, cut into 8 pieces each
  • 4 med potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes
  • 3 carrots, cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 c barley
  • 1/2 c lentils
  • 1/2 c split peas
  • 28 oz can of whole or diced tomatoes
  • 15 oz can beef bouillon broth
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1-1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1-1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper

Directions

    Add all ingredients except potatoes to the boiling water. When water boils again, reduce to medium heat and simmer for 1-1/2 hours. When carrots are tender, add potatoes. Cook until potatoes are tender.
