- 2 bread mediums -sized slices of crustless stale, soaked briefly in
- 1 1/8 pounds lean minced lamb or beef,, 1lb
- 1 onion medium -sized, finely chopped
- 2 teaspoons mint tbl Freshly chopped, or 1 dried mint
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley Freshly
- 1 clove garlic crushed
- 1 egg
- salt
- freshly ground black pepper
- plain flour for dusting
- vegetable oil for shallow or deep frying
Directions

1Squeeze out excess water from the bread, leaving it quite dry.

3Make walnut-shaped balls and keep them covered until they are to be cooked.

4Then roll them lightly in flour and fry in hot oil for 2-3 minutes until golden all over.
