- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 x turmeric pinch
- 10 ounces spinach OR 4 c vegetables (combination of cabbage, squash, beans, etc.)
- 2 teaspoons lentils, green (urad dal)
- 13 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 each red chili peppers
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 3 tablespoons coconut grated
Directions

1Boil yellow split peas.

2Keep aside.

3Boil vegetables with salt, chili powder and turmeric until just cooked.

4Add masala and dal.

5Masala: Roast urad dal, black pepper and red chillies until the dal is golden yellow.

6Add cumin seeds to the mixture after removing from stove.

7Add the coconut when the mixture is cold.

8Grind with water.
