- 1 peck dill size cucumbers
- 3 pt. vinegar
- 1 1/2 c. canning salt
- 4 1/2 qt. water
- fresh dill
- grape leaves
- garlic
- hot pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp. alum
Directions

1Wash cucumbers.

2Place grape leaf, dill, garlic and pepper in bottom of jar.

3Pack cucumbers in hot, clean jars.

4Mix vinegar, water, salt and alum in large pan; bring to boil.

5Pour over top of cucumbers.

6Place grape leaf, dill, garlic and pepper on top of cucumbers.

7Seal jars.
-
8Place in hot water bath for about 20 minutes in boiling water to seal jars.

9Makes 8 to 9 quarts.
