  • cabbage, shredded
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. white vinegar
  • water

Directions

    Put water in large kettle and bring to a boil.

    Pack cabbage in hot jars.
  3. 3
    Add salt, sugar and vinegar to each packed jar of cabbage.

    Pour hot water over packed jars.
  5. 5
    Don't pack too tight!

    Take air bubbles out by running a table knife around inside of jar after you pour hot water in packed jars.

    Clean top of jar well.

    Seal.
