- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 c. canned kraut, drained
- 1 can (16 oz.) stewed tomatoes
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
- 1 medium onion, diced
- meat (your choice of hot links, smoked sausage, wieners or 1 can corned beef that has been shredded)
Directions

1Fry bacon, drain, crumble and set aside.

2Saute onion in 1 tablespoon bacon fat.

3Place drained kraut in 2-quart greased or sprayed casserole.

4Stir in onion.

5Top with the meat of your choice.

6Pour the stewed tomatoes over this.

7Sprinkle with brown sugar and bacon bits.

8Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
