- 10 ounces puff pastry sheets (1 box Pepperidge Farm puff pastry, not sure of the actual weight)
- 1 cup sugar
- 12 cup shortening
- 12 cup butter
- 12 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- confectioners' sugar
Directions

1Thaw pastry sheets according to package directions.

2Cut sheets into 1 to 2-inch squares (depending on how big you want your cookies to be; I usually go with about 1-inch squares).

3Place on ungreased baking sheet 1 inch apart and bake at 350 degrees until light brown (approximately 10 to 12 minutes).

4Cool on paper towels.

5They will puff up quite high.

6Beat filling ingredients at high speed until fluffy.

7Cut off the top of each baked puff pastry square and apply filling and place top back on.

8Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
