- 2 lbs lamb, cubed
- 12 teaspoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- 14 cup flour
- 2 cups water
- 34 cup red wine
- 14 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 6 -8 carrots, sliced
- 4 small onions, quartered
- 4 celery ribs, sliced
- 3 medium potatoes, diced
Directions

1Sprinkle lamb with sugar.

2Brown in oil in skillet.

3Remove lamb and place in slow cooker, reserving drippings.

4Stir in salt, pepper, and flour into drippings until smooth.

5Stir in water and wine, until smooth, stirring until broth simmers and thickens.

6Pour into cooker.

7Add remaining ingredients and stir until well mixed.

8Cover.

9Cook on low 8-10 hours.

10Serve with crusty bread.
