- 1 cup wheat germ (dalia)
- 1 1/2 cups sugar or 2 cups jaggery
- 1 cup ghee
- 1/2 tablespoon chopped almonds
- 1/2 tablespoon chopped pistachios
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
Directions

1Warm ghee in a heavy pan.

2Now add wheat germ.

3Stir and cook till germ is golden in colour and aroma exudes.

4Meanwhile melt sugar or jaggery in 1 cup water.

5Keep aside.

6Boil and add remaining water to roasted wheat germ.

7Stir gently now, and cook till the grain of the germ is soft on pressing.

8Add sugar or jaggery, add cardamom and chopped nuts.

9Stir and simmer covered, stirring occasionally.

10Cook till ghee separates along the sides.

11Serve hot.

12Freeze and thaw as required.

13Before serving, take in pan, sprinkle some hot water. Heat while stirring, till ghee again separates.
