- 1/2 lb. oleo or 2 sticks butter
- 1 c. Crisco
- 8 eggs
- 3 1/2 c. plain flour, sifted
- 2 3/4 c. sugar
- 8 Tbsp. canned milk
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla or lemon extract
Directions

1Cream the sugar, Crisco and oleo or margarine; add eggs, one at a time.

2Then add flour a little at a time.

3Also add part of the milk until you use all the flour and the milk, beating well with a mixer.

4Add vanilla extract, if desired, and cream all well. Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan and pour batter in pan.

5Cook at 325° for 1 1/2 hours or at 350° for 1 hour.
