Ingredients
- 3/4 lb. ground beef
- 3/4 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp. minced garlic
- 15 oz. can tomato sauce
- 6 oz. can tomato paste
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. oregano leaves
- 4 oz. lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
- 8 oz. part-skim Mozzarella cheese, grated
- 1 lb. small curd cottage cheese
Directions

1In a large skillet brown meat and remove from skillet with slotted spoon.

2Pour off fat, reserving 1 teaspoon in skillet. Add onion and garlic, saute 3 to 4 minutes, stirring frequently until softened.

3Add tomato sauce and paste, along with salt, pepper and oregano.

4Mix in the hamburger and simmer mixture for 15 minutes.

5Heat oven to 350°.

6Place 3 noodles in a 12 x 7 x 2-inch baking dish.

7Top with about a third of each of the following:

8sauce, Mozzarella and cottage cheese.

9Spread again with sauce, Mozzarella and cottage cheese.

10Top this with 3 noodles and complete with remaining third of the sauce and cheeses.

11Bake for 30 minutes or until cheese is bubbly.
