- 1/2 (1 lb.) pkg. lasagna noodles
- 2 lb. bulk Italian sausage
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes, undrained
- 1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. basil leaves
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper, crushed
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 (15 oz.) Ricotta cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/3 c. fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 c. Mozzarella, shredded
- 1 c. Parmesan, grated
Directions

1Prepare lasagna noodles according to package directions.

2In skillet, combine sausage, onion and garlic; cook until brown.

3Stir occasionally; drain.

4Stir in next 7 ingredients; bring to boil. Reduce heat; simmer 20 minutes.

5In medium bowl, blend Ricotta, egg, parsley and salt.

6Spread thin layer of sauce in 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

7Layer 1/3 each lasagna, remaining sauce, Ricotta mixture, Mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.

8Repeat layers.

9Bake in 375° oven until bubbly for 1 hour.

10Makes 12 servings.
