  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 6 (6 oz.) cans water
  • 2 small pkg. spaghetti sauce mix
  • 1 jar mushrooms (optional)
  • 1/2 box lasagna noodles, uncooked
  • 1 pt. cottage cheese, lo-cal
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese

Directions

    Brown beef and onions; drain.

    Add tomato paste, water and spaghetti sauce mix.

    Simmer 10 to 15 minutes.

    Pour 1 1/2 cups sauce in 9 x 13-inch casserole.

    Cover with a layer of noodles and add more sauce.

    Layer 1/2 of all the cheeses and the remaining noodles. Add the rest of the beef sauce and cheeses.

    Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour at 350°.

    Let set 15 minutes before cutting into squares.
