- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 (No. 2 1/2 ) can tomatoes (3 1/2 c.)
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 or 2 envelopes spaghetti sauce mix
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz. lasagna or wide noodles
- 1 (6 or 8 oz.) thinly sliced Mozzarella cheese
- 1 c. cream-style cottage cheese
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Directions

1Brown meat slowly.

2Spoon off excess fat.

3Add next 4 ingredients.

4Cover and simmer 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Salt to taste.

5Cook noodles in salted water until tender; drain. Rinse in cold water.

6Place half of the noodles in large baking dish.

7Cover with 1/3 of the sauce.

8Add half of the Mozzarella cheese, then half of the cottage cheese.

9Repeat layers, ending with sauce.

10Top with Parmesan cheese.

11Bake in a 350° oven for 25 to 30 minutes.

12Let stand 15 minutes.
