  • 1 (16 oz.) container cottage cheese
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 (16 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles, cooked 7 minutes
  • 12 oz. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 Tbsp. Mazola corn oil
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (14 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. onions, chopped
  • garlic powder

Directions

    For meat sauce, in a frying pan, heat corn oil over medium heat.

    Add ground beef, onion and garlic powder.

    Cook for about 18 minutes, or until browned.

    In blender, place 1 can tomatoes; blend on high speed for 30 seconds, until finely chopped.

    Add to beef mixture.

    Stir in tomato paste, sugar, salt, oregano and pepper; bring to a boil.

    Set aside until needed.
