Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 (12 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 (24 oz.) carton small curd cottage cheese
  • 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 9 uncooked lasagna noodles
  • 9 slices Mozzarella cheese

Directions

    Cook noodles as directed.

    Brown ground beef and garlic in large skillet; drain.

    Mix tomato sauce, tomato paste, salt, oregano and pepper with ground beef.

    Cover, simmer for 20 minutes. In 9 x 13-inch pan, layer the following:

    3 noodles, 1/3 meat mixture, 1/2 cottage cheese and 3 slices Mozzarella cheese.

    Repeat the first 3 layers, then layer 3 noodles, 1/3 meat mixture and 3 slices cheese.

    Then top with Parmesan cheese.

    Bake at 350° for 30 to 45 minutes until top is golden brown.
