  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1 Tbsp. basil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
  • 2 (3 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles
  • 6 c. creamed cottage cheese
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese

Directions

    Brown meat; drain fat.

    Add garlic, parsley flakes, basil, salt, tomatoes and tomato paste.

    Simmer, covered, for 1 hour. Cook noodles in salted water.

    Mix cottage cheese, eggs, salt, pepper, parsley flakes and cheese.

    Grease a 12 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Spread half the noodles on bottom of pan; cover with half the cottage cheese mixture and cover this with half the Mozzarella cheese.

    Repeat these layers.

    Bake 45 to 60 minutes at 375°. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.

    This recipe can be prepared, divided and put in smaller pans to freeze for later use.
