Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 lb. shredded Mozzarella
  • 1 lb. cottage cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • pepper to taste
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • Parmesan cheese

Directions

    Brown beef.

    Drain.

    Stir in tomato sauce, paste, water, 1 tablespoon parsley, 1/2 teaspoon salt and basil, oregano, pepper and sugar.

    Simmer 25 minutes.

    In another bowl, mix 1/4 of Mozzarella cheese and mix with cottage cheese, egg and remaining parsley, salt, basil.

    In 9 x 13 pan, layer 1/4 meat sauce, 3 noodles (cooked), 1/3 cottage cheese mixture, 1/3 Mozzarella cheese and sprinkle with Parmesan.

    Repeat layering 2 more times. Bake at 375° for 35 minutes.

    Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
