  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. pork sausage
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 tsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 lb. Ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 lb. Cheddar cheese
  • 8 lasagna noodles
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 c. Romano cheese

Directions

    In a fry pan crumble beef and sausage; fry until brown.

    In a big saucepan put first 11 ingredients as in spaghetti sauce.

    Cook noodles in a separate pan approximately 18 minutes; then drain. Place 1/2 cup of the noodles in bottom of a large baking dish; add and spread 1/3 of meat mixture, 1/2 of Ricotta cheese, Mozzarella and Cheddar cheese.

    Repeat layer again (noodles, meat mixture and cheeses).

    Put remaining sauce on top and sprinkle with Romano cheese.
