  • 1 lb. ground meat
  • 1 lb. Italian sausage
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1/2 c. carrots, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. oregano
  • 1 Tbsp. sweet basil
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 can whole peeled tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • large container cottage cheese (approximately 3 c.)
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 16 oz. Mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • lasagne noodles, boiled according to directions

Directions

    Brown ground meat and Italian sausage.

    Add onion, bell pepper, celery and carrots.

    Drain.

    Add oregano, basil, pepper, peeled tomatoes and tomato paste.

    Let simmer for 30 minutes.

    Let cool and refrigerate overnight.

    Beat eggs.

    Add cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley and pepper.

    Layer.
