Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Italian sausage or 1 lb. hamburg
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
  • 1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. sweet basil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 10 oz. noodles
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 3 c. Ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 c. Romano or Parmesan cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. dried parsley flakes
  • 16 oz. Mozzarella, grated (save some for top)

Directions

    Brown sausage or hamburg and drain.

    Add tomatoes and juice, tomato paste, water, basil, garlic and salt.

    Simmer covered for 15 minutes.

    Stir occasionally.

    Cook noodles; drain.
