  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes and liquid
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 large clove garlic
  • 12 oz. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. basil leaves
  • 1/2 tsp. rosemary leaves
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 lb. lasagne noodles
  • 3 c. Ricotta cheese
  • 1 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

    Brown together and drain the ground beef and onions.

    Simmer together tomatoes and liquid, tomato paste, water, garlic, salt, basil leaves, rosemary and sugar.

    Refrigerate overnight.

    Make alternate layers of noodles, cheeses and meat sauce.

    Bake at 350° for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
